It is a line on our van, and it is also a fairly literal description of the job. Since 2008 we have been cleaning offices across the Saint Paul and Minneapolis area, and in that time the thing that separates a contract that lasts from one that does not has never been the open floor. It is the ledge, the frame, the switch surround and the door face.
Those are the places nobody photographs and everybody eventually notices. So we name them rather than leaving them to a general promise about quality.

Who gets the key
Everyone is screened before they reach orientation.
Our people are in your building when you are not. Screening happens before anyone is trained, let alone before anyone is given a key, and we are fully insured and bonded on top of it.
- Reference checks
- Before orientation, not after a problem.
- Criminal background check
- Every applicant, without exception.
- Drug test
- Part of the same pre-orientation screen.
- Visible photo ID badge
- Worn on site, so anyone in your building at 9pm can be identified on sight.
The terms, as we have always stated them
- Each Great Lakes Janitorial Services applicant is carefully screened, including reference checks, criminal background checks, and drug tests, before beginning orientation.
- Our employees are easily recognizable as they are required to wear a visible photo ID badge.
- We are fully insured and bonded.
- Our price is guaranteed for at least one year.
- All candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
